GMU – Innovation and Design Thinking Week

🎯 Objective

To inspire students, faculty, and aspiring innovators to identify problems, generate viable product ideas, apply design thinking methodologies, and develop early-stage prototypes through team-based experiential learning.

🛠️ Organizing Procedure

  1. Pre-Planning (1 month in advance):
    • Form a Core Organizing Committee (Faculty, IIC/Innovation Cell, GMU-ITP Members)
    • Finalize dates and venue (classrooms, workshops, innovation labs)
    • Prepare budget and approvals (if required)
    • Identify and invite resource persons, mentors, and judges
    • Design publicity materials (posters, emails, website notifications)
    • Circulate registrations forms (Google Form or ERP platform)
    • Procure necessary materials: stationery, prototyping tools, kits, etc.
    • Set up the evaluation criteria and rubrics
  2. Participation: Open to all students, faculty, and selected external participants (teams of 3–5)
  3. Outputs Expected: Problem statement, product pitch, prototype, and shortlist for Phase II
